This is a circular treadmill for studying navigation, locomotion and spatial orientation. The treadmill is equipped with a motorized handlebar to guide people at differnet walking speeds independent of the speed of the treadmill. The base for that treadmill is an historic piece of science equipment inherited from Horst von Mittlest盲dt, who legendly did some of his original studies on the "efference copy" on that piece of equipment.
