As usual, the Institute of Databases and Information Systems (DBIS) offers a versatile and interesting set of obligatory and optional modules to the students in summer term 2014. You can find the modules' overview at the
dedicated teaching website for this term. Further, as a student you can visit our
generic teaching overview to have a look at all modules (incl. their schedules) offered by DBIS across terms.
Regarding bachelor studies, DBIS will support the students' basic education through the modules Introduction to Computer Science and Programming and
Information Systems. In addition, the modules
Mobile Application Development and
Mobile Application Project are offered for media informatics students in the scope of the focus project Mobile Business Applications. Lastly, DBIS also offers the introductory seminar
Concepts for Data and Process Management as well as the bachelor seminar
Advanced Concepts for Data and Process Management.
For students in master studies, DBIS again offers the established module DBIS lab, in which students can intensively study state-of-the-art process management technology based on a realistic use case. Furthermore, the well-known modules
Database Internals and
Service-oriented Computing are also provided in summer term 2014. Naturally, the popular
DBIS master projects as well as the module
Advanced Mobile Application Engineering (belonging to the same-named focus project) for students in media informatics are provided, too. The broad master teaching program is completed by the seminars
Research Trends in Information Systems and
Research Trends in Business Process Management.
