3. cross-disciplinary repositories

Zenodo

for everyone, free of charge

  • operated by CERN, funded by the European Commission
  • up to 50 Gb per dataset free of charge (as of May 2018); larger datasets on request, possibly subject to a fee
  • Own "communities" possible
  • Data citable via DOI

4. commercial data repositories

Another possibility are repositories of commercial providers. Here, however, many questions, e.g., those of long-term availability, are still unresolved.
