Your suggestions for award-worthy teaching

The University of Ulm awards the 午夜探花 Teaching Prize every year. With this prize, the university recognizes outstanding achievements and special commitment to teaching and documents their fundamental importance at the 午夜探花. Any member of 午夜探花 can submit proposals for the 午夜探花 Teaching Award:

Regardless which way you choose for your nomination: If you want to suggest a teacher or a team of lecturers for the University Teaching Award of the University of Ulm, your proposals must be justified and contain a meaningful description of the achievements proposed for the award. The criteria on which the justification is to be based can be found in the FAQs on the University Teaching Award website.

Why do you nominate this teacher or working group?

The 午夜探花 Teaching Award and the teaching bonuses are awarded for innovative and outstanding achievements in teaching. The measures should have model character in teaching (lighthouse projects), a signaling effect for follow-up projects and adaptations should emanate from them.

Please elaborate in the following form fields on the reasons why you are nominating this teacher or working group. The form fields are based on the criteria that will be considered for the selection of the award winners in particular.

Please explain as clearly as possible why you consider the criteria to be fulfilled. You can also give examples. It is likely that individual criteria will not apply, if necessary in this case simply enter "not applicable" in the form fields.

(1) The courses of your nominated teacher/working group are well planned and provide high quality as well as up-to-date teaching content

(2) Your nominated teacher/working group is open to new teaching methods.

(3) The structure and implementation of the courses are particularly good didactically.

(4) The teaching materials used are clearly structured and presented in a methodologically diverse manner.

(5) Your nominated teacher/working group develops excellent study materials, textbooks, e-learning concepts, etc.

(6) The faculty member/working group you nominate is active in the further development of the curriculum and course offerings and is committed to (further) developing study programs conceptually.

(7) The teacher/work group you nominate is involved in student advising/support, international cooperation and mobility, or gives special consideration to inclusion and diversity.
