The Information Security Department supports the University's institutes and facilities in adequately protecting the information processed. This is based on established information security standards and uniformly defined protection goals.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operating the information security management system and ensuring a continuous improvement process in the context of information security as well as the IT coordination for the University's central administration.
